Hello Gearheads
« on: August 15, 2007 - 09:51:35 AM »
Great site and great info.  Glad to be a part of it.
I have a beat up, rusty, leaking, moldy challenger that is now in the restoration shop.  My last car took me several years to build and I didn't want to wait that long this time.  Will post pics when body work and paint are complete.  Until then, would like to see if anyone members are in the SC upstate area ?

Hey, pokey.  I'll bet people here would love to see pics even before the restoration is started.

I'm in southern central NC, just south of Fayetteville.

I do have some pics I'll post tonight if I can figure out how.
The car is a '70r/t with just the base 383, but it had some nice options that I was interested in.  It's a 4-spd, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioned car with white interior and F4 green exterior.  I'm having a keisler 5-speed put in and I might change the exterior color, but other than that it will be stock.  Of course I'm also trying to get a little more power without losing the stock engine look.   The soda blasting really revealed a lot of rust so the $'s are going fast.   I also have a '67 corvette big block.  Hope that doesn't get me thrown out of the forum.
Excellent, helpful sight and all seem to be enthusiastic.
