There's a reason for the Quad exhaust especially with super high horse Hemi's.It decreases the back pressure that a pair of single pipes won't handle, a high horse hemi has to breathe and you run too large of a diameter single exhaust sytem you lose back pressure, so going with a quad set-up balances and equalizes the pressure put out by the engine, you would know this if you had too run an exhaust on a 700+ horsepower engine. Just thought I would mention this, also look at the exhaust real close on the Silver Bullitt 67 Plymouth GTX of Jimmy Addison, same set up. I think that Challenger looks tough as hell.

The race look and at the same time the stock look. Maybe the guy likes pipes or is confused...Wait,  no T/A pipes out of the side too?   ;)

Exactly, where's the carbon?  Or did it pass Cali emissions tests with flying colors.   :roflsmiley:

Dave, you are clearly confused.    :roflsmiley:

In one paragraph you contradict yourself:
.....It decreases the back pressure that a pair of single pipes won't handle, a high horse hemi has to breathe and you run too large of a diameter single exhaust sytem you lose back pressure.....

You want to decrease back pressure with a "quad exhuast system", but if too large of dual exhaust and you lose it, too?

Someone should tell the guy with the wheelstanding Flowmaster Chevelle his exhaust system ain't workin' right.

The reason the Silver Bullitt ran 4 mufflers was to quiet it down so it could beat on unsuspecting GTOs on Woodward Ave.  It has nothing to do with back pressure.  You couldn't get races on Woodward with a car that sounded like it had a heavily worked Hemi in it, thus the four Cadillac mufflers.

I remember that article very well. Any Mopar running four Cadillac mufflers tends to stick out in one's memory :burnout: :grinyes:

I know, I know, I know.....its a six pack...... of exhaust tips.... turn downs..... yuck

Having a black Cuda and going to car shows I always end up behind somebody like that in the line to get a plaque. Of course on a grass or dirt surface and do you know what my black car looks like after driving behind a car like that? Of course they rev it up over the really dusty spots too! I almost feel like getting in front of them and dumping the clutch at around 5k and see how they like it.

I guess he didn't what to go to a valance without cut outs so he left the stock tips... He should just turn it out the side like the AAR's and TA's
