I know one of the 70 Coronet convertibles was an automatic.  I used to run around in it with a friend.  This pic was taken where my avatar pic was taken.  The pic was in High Performance Mopar along with an article about the car.

How bizarre... a friend of mine has the Identical car..  his production # is 7. It was a factory show car, has power windows and a few other goodies..  :2thumbs:
Hurry,, Duane the tub,,I'm Dwouning....

The car was owned by Robert Yapell when I knew it.  It is the only export 1970 Hemi Coronet convertible built.  It almost caused a divorce when he bought it due to it's cost.  I believe it was sold for something like 10 times what he paid for it.  He was in the right place at the right time.  He brought it back from Switzerland.  It has changed hands several times since he owned it.  The current owner has several rare Mopars.  I know the car was at Mopars at the mansion.

How's Robert doing these days?  I remember when Matt C was trying to broker the sale of that car for $600K  :money:

What hasn't Matt C tried to broker?   :smilielol: Robert has been through a few surgeries and is doing better, thankfully.
