Repro door panels
« on: June 10, 2007 - 09:04:59 PM »
Talk about frustration. I bought door panels 5 years ago for my '73 Cuda. Bright blue, and I bought front and rear. When they got here, I checked everything for color and obvious damage, then put them back in the box for storage. Things being things, my first guy fell thru on the body and paint work after keeping me hanging for 2 years, then I sent the car off to another guy who finally got my car done 2 plus years later. Got it home last night, pulled out my new panels to see how they fit. Checking them again and I now realize that I have two drivers side panels, and no right side panel. I didn't even notice it at the time, I was just checking for color and damage. After 5 years, I am reasonably certain that Legendary won't be able to help me and I'm almost scared to try to buy just one panel 'cuz of non matching problems.
With all of that said, who makes / sells the best door panels now? If I have to buy both front panels new, I might as well buy the good ones...........

Look down a few posts in this section, lots of topics about this stuff.  STROKER just bought a front set of Palco panels, and it sounds like he's satisfied.

Call Legendary. I know in my biz I would take care of the customer if I could. Wost they could do is not swap it out.

As long as they're undamaged, I bet they'd swap one out for you.

I just installed mine from the padock and they seem to be too tall, and they catch the scuff plate, anyone else have that problem? or are my doors sitting too low, they open and close fine

I called Legendary about this today. Talked to customer service who is actually calling their manufacturer to see what can or might be done for me. Supposedly, she will call me back tomorrow, so I'll know more then and let everyone know!

Good luck.  As far as I can tell they have everything to lose and nothing to gain by not helping you.

Hey, StrOkEr, where did you get the Palcos?  Recall how much they were?  Mine will need to be white, I wonder if all white panels are the same shade.   :clueless:
