NHRA
« on: September 02, 2007 - 09:55:14 AM »
TO anyone who follows NHRA racing:
John Force and Ford are working together to develop a Ford top fuel motor. I guess it is tough when you drive a Ford-Chevy-Pontiac or Toyota and they are all using Chrysler Hemis for power. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I hope it is not a Hemi with a Ford value cover on it....
Ashley Force will also have her work cut out for her in 2008. It seems that she will have lots of company. Top Fuel driver  Melaine Troxel will be switching over to Funny Car next year joining Mike Ashley's Dodge Team. Of course Don Schmaucher can not be out done with his four car Dodge team and Gary Selzi retiring this year so he has been interviewing and testing a feamale driver also.
This weekend is also the biggest race in drag racing. Indy is the Daytona 500 of NHRA. They will be running Friday-Saturday-Sunday with final elimanations on Monday. It will be on TV so if your boared check it out..

I'll bet the new ford engine will be just like js27 said, a Hemi with ford valve covers. I really don't see how they can improve on the current design. I love John Force. It's just too bad he's sponsored by ford. I will definitely be watching the race this weekend.
