In preparation for breaking my engine in, I went to the local GM dealership to pick up some Engine Oil Supplement to help break in the cam. Unfortunately, they told me it has been discontinued and do not plan on superceding it with a new part number. Any EOS left is old stock, naturally nobody in my area has any. Is there any other readily available ZDDP additive out there? I know Comp and Crane Cams both make versions of it, but neither of them are stocked in parts stores. I'd have to order those products in. I really dont feel like wiping the cam lobes on a fresh engine and I also need something to add to the oil every oil change now (thank you EPA.)
