Hey bnorth,
I am not saying that you will never find someone willing to do that trade, but since many Challenger owners (self included) have already did this swap, it will be unlikely you will find a taker.

You may want to try and save up for a salvaged r/t hood or just go with a fiberglass version.

Good luck.

Just checking, some people are looking for good rust free flat hoods for shaker conversions.
I am probably going to get a Goodmark repo but want to to check around before I do.
This flat hood may go on my other Cahllenger.

I would take that trade anyday (if I had any Challenger parts)  Flat hoods are worth more nowadays.  Just check E-pay

In the past everyone was taking off the flat hoods and putting on R/T hoods. The flat hoods would get thrown away making them more rare then the R/T hoods. Add to that the R/T hoods are being reproduced by the thousands now making the flat hoods even more rare.
If you install a shaker hood kit from Scott your flat hood is worth around $2000 but R/t hoods are only worth around 500 and you can get used ones cheaper then that

I just sold a flat Barracuda hood for $692.00. Challenger ones go cheaper but you get the idea

Well, all I can say is that you were one of the lucky exceptions when it comes to your Barracuda hood selling so high, a case of two ebay bidders wanting one in a hurry at the same time and going nutty with bidding. However, I've seen the majority of them selling on ebay for around half that amount, still not chump change, but far less than your one exception.

Aside from that the subject here is about a Challenger hood, and they don't sell for nearly as much on average as a Barracuda hood, generally speaking they are about half the price and allot more common, pretty much anytime you like you buy one for $100.00-$150.00 each. Check ebay and you'll see allot of them posted as no sales for that price range (plus Barracuda hoods priced so high that they don't sell either)

I see the same trend as described by 360 Cuda. Good original rust free flat hoods (not drilled for letters) are becoming desirable as cores.
I have seen good Challenger flat hoods for go for 350.00 to 450.00 at shows.
