f70-14 polyglas pics - no miles
« on: September 13, 2014 - 06:52:59 AM »
I had the spare out of my Challenger this past week. It's never been mounted, so zero miles on it. I have photos if anyone needs to see them. Tire is an Oct.69' manufacture date.

You would have thought, but it doesn't show the wear and tear of in and out which leads me to think it was never taken out. On top of that, there are no signs that any gravel got into the treads and we all know no one is spending time digging it out. No dry rot. I have added the rim code pics.

So, I asked Patricia (via her daughter) and,

Sorry Martin but my Mom doesn't remember ever taking the tire out of the trunk.  My brother said he never saw it removed either, but he said you need a little weight in the back for traction, so he does not think my Dad would have removed it.

Oct. 69

The tire is  probably not dry rotted, just petrified..   :poopoke:

I was collecting a set of them for my car & had 3 really good ones until a friend borrowed my trailer & used 2 as spares when he had problems with the tires on the trailers so he trashed 2 really nice original spares like that
