So what does that all mean?
7 (July) 2 (1972) will be the date code. If i read your quarter window correctly, it looks like 4 (April) 2 (1972). The year will always be the final number in the sequence. The month will precede the year being either the single digit 1 - 9 representing January through September, or 10 - 12 representing October through December. I'm not sure if the side or rearview mirrors use the same method or exactly how the other characters define
