70-71 vs 72-74 horns
« on: September 28, 2007 - 05:24:32 PM »
Going to Englishtown swap meet (general swap meet) and I want to but horns for my 71.
Not looking so much to match #s but if I could find them I would like to get correct ones (1970-1971). If not 72-72 would be fine. What am I looking for? What are mopars were 70-71 horns from?

Any two piece horn from '66 up will work.  It is the bracket that is different between the cars.  One piece horns are usually specific to a car model.

First pic E Body two piece horn (removeable bracket)
Second pic '71 E Body one piece horn.
Third pic date codes, depending upon the horn the date codes may be in a different location.

Note the position of the bracket that attaches to the inner fender, also make sure you get a low and high note horn.
