Wide Gapping Sparkplugs??

Ive heard of this before. im using the stock gap of 35 in my 408. anyone done this? benefits??

Not much use in it unless you are running a powerful ignition system and a very lean fuel mixture. The manufacturers of aftermarket system typically will give you a recommended starting point. Best way to tell is hot lap it at the track, opening up the gap until you slow down, then go back to the last best gap.

I typically open the gap to .040-.045 but only with a High out put coil & good wires

 :iagree:  I usually run msd and a hot coil, so 40-45 is right in there. But I have been told by nitros running people , they like a .035 gap so it burns the electrode off before burning the piston. I have not had to try nitros though.

ah, i c. im running the mopar performance coil. so, i think i'll stay where i am.....
