Thanks for the information, Go-Fish.
I can definitely understand why you went with a supercharger over a large turbo. I know turbos tend to be harder on the engine with the excessive heat they produce, but I've seen plenty of relatively reliable ones built. They also run meth injection systems to help with the lag on larger turbos, so they don't really have too many problems there anymore. My Stealth still has it's factory TD04-9B's, so they're small enough to not really experience much lag (if any), but they also drop off miserably around 5,300 rpm's (but it's cool I have as much hp & tq as I do and still get good gas mileage). Even with the smaller turbos, it's still a bunch of fun coming from N/A cars, so I can only imagine how brutal it will be after getting larger turbos along with all the supporting modifications. You're pushing a good amount of boost as I've usually only seen around 8-9 psi max. on my friend's rides (One being a '92 Mustang 5.0 with a Vortech centrifugal charger...it's funny, but my Stealth is still faster down the quarter at stock boost settings
).
That F-3R is a brutal supercharger and really big, but check out this turbo!
