Being that the tailpanel is angled, I would suggest the angled grille emblem to make the Challenger script to sit on a horizontal (flat) level so it can be easily read from behind.

I don't know, but the 71 tail panel is pot metal and has three holes. I'm not sure if it would line up or look right. That and if I did something like that it would look different from the car, and I want them to look alike.

If I can't get a new one I guess I will just use the faded one I got. It's just if I get one later, I have to remove the bumper and tail panel to get that emblem off again. :pullinghair:

My bad.  For some reason I got in my head that your trailer was a 70.

I have three marinating in my tool box I'll let go, pt # 3444938, they look identical to yours except only 2 studs ('70?).  The studs look like they line up it just that the first stud on the 'C' is not there.

Now that is the part number I have on the new stick on fender emblems... Strange???  :clueless:

Top is the 3570519 from one of my 71 tailpanels. Below and far right are the new stick on emblems, both with number 1-P3444938. Now I am realy confused...

Seems typical of mopar. They found a part that for the most part would work but not exactly like the original. The stick-on emblems I have seen have a 1/16 of a inch or so of foam backing, might stick better then you think with proper prep work  :dunno: Kind of reminds me of the trunk and quarter trim for the 70 vs the 71-4.

Chrysler used to move part numbers to an "New and Improved part".  I think they changed to the stick on emblems in 72.  I am not sure.

Thanks for all the replies; I am just going to use the faded one. After polishing and re painting the black area around this one, It looks OK.
