What intake manifold?

The one I had only had the eddy logo on one side, the other side had a Chrysler part number.

In pic 2, on the distributor end of the intake in between the plenum and "Edelbrock" logo there is a part #. I thought it was the Eddy part #.

I think Edelbrock made the "Mopar" version of the LD340 for Mopar to sell aftermarket through "Direct Connection"  The Direct Connection manifold had a Mopar part number and a Pentastar cast into it instead of (or maybe in addition to) LD340.  It never came installed on a car from the factory.  I may be all wrong on this but it's my best shot.

I think you are right. Edelbrock still does developement on Mopar Performance products and I believe the still do some production on some Mopar brand intakes which MP sells.

    Speaking of intake manifold's. I have a 73 340 Challenger. 670 Holley Street Avenger, Edelbrock Performer dual plane manifold. Rebuilt engine. Not sure what they did with head's but, used a performance RV Cam. Has a nice lobe to it. My question is. Would I gain anything with a 4 hole Phenolic 1" spacer. Thank's, Pat

a 4 hole spacer is generally used to increase signal at the carb which is helpful on large plenum single plane intakes , you will see more gain going ot an open spacer on a dual plane allowing some crossover between the 2 planes

 Back in the day the hot setup on and LD340 was to mill the center divider out. More RPM's I guess.

 Someone asked about hood clearance. On a 70 Challenger using an LD340, w/Holley 650 DP, from the air cleaner seat to the Rallye hood cross support is 4.5" at the tightest point.

LD340 is a great intake.  I ran one for years in a street/strip 340 Dart.  It worked great.  You won't go wrong running one on a 340 car.....   0.02

Thanks, I just hope my factory A/C will bolt up to it.

Not sure what you mean by bolt up to it, but there are two supports on the passenger side. In the picture they are used to hold my wiring harness.

I was not sure if the manifold's physical configuration would interfere with the compressor fitting, or if it even had the bolt holes for the brackets.

LD340 manifold is a great one back in its day. Very hard to find at a reasonable price, I use a Weiand #8007 dual plane on the 340 and it is available at Jeg's or Summit for about $180.00. The Weiand #8022 is the same design but a single plane for $220.00. I would just mill down the center divide about 3/8 of an inch.. (not done yet in this photo)
Now that said, It all depends on what your needs are. There are several good manifolds out there for the street....
