I was one of those guys who had a car just sitting in the garage collecting  dust. My cuda sat for about 21 years before I got it going. Now I just have to make it pretty again.  Don't give up on the brother n law yet---maybe with a little more prodding he will get remotivated and drive it again or you might get him on a good day and he will sell it to you. You just never know.

Those are some nice projects he's got there!  I hate to say it but my car is just sitting in my shop not doing anything.  It's not that I don't want to work on it, it's just a matter of time and money.  I do what I can when I can, but sometimes things just don't work out.  I thought about selling it, but I know deep down that if I did, I would never get another Challenger again.  So I sit on it and drive people nuts because it just sits there.

I feel for ya man. My Challenger sat in garages for years while I was trying to get ahead in life and gain a few bucks to spare. It's a sacrifice you have to make. Later on in life when you have that spare time and money, enjoy the decision you made to keep her.

Well there are 2 things I can bank on. He will get both of those cars going again and he will never sell either one. We both had mutliple cars and these 2 are the ones he kept. I have no fear that he will get them going again but I want him to get one running, the 'Cuda would be the easiest, so we can cruise together. If he had the fender I think he could literally get his back on the street within a month.

If you think about it there are many of us who bought them for under a grand back in the 80's. He just happened to hold on to a couple of his. I turned down a 71 Barracuda convertible for 450 bucks in about 87 because it was column shift auto and had rusty floors. How often do you think I kick myself for that one? Nice little triple blue car with 318 and air.  :crying:  We knew where a bunch of nice cars were and thought they would always be there. Always finding more up until about 95 or so. In the 10 years I backed off from Mopars though a not so funny thing happened, all the dang cars disappeared totally. I found a 70 Challenger in a back yard last week in a nearby city but they are hard to come by nowadays.
