Alright so its been a while since the last time i posted here. The mirrors i bought were for a cuda and had a different bolt pattern.
The engine is pretty much done. I just need to get a few things such as a carb, a few hoses and ignition stuff such as distributor and a ignition box. Any one knows of a good performance distributor? i was thinking about MSD but not sure if i wanna pay like $300 for it although u gotta pay to play. I should be doing the swap hopefully within the next 2 weeks. Decided that the color will be Gun Metal and not sure if i should get a new engine harness i mean, the one it has right now works but its old.. what u guys recommend?

I'd go with the mopar electronic ignition with a chrome box. Dead nuts reliable and a decent spark too. In one of my cars I ran a stock system with a Jacobs coil and later swapped to a MSD Digital 6 system. I saw no difference in e.t. or mph between the two systems.

I would recommend a new engine harness, though. The old ones are dry and brittle from the decades of heat exposure. All it takes is a crack in one critical wire to create the havoc of an intermittent short, or in worse case, a fire.

 :iagree:

I have new harnesses from Y1 waiting their turn to be installed on my Challenger (forward lamp, main engine, dash, and tail lamp). Another thing is the Fram oil filter. Here are a couple of threads with experienced opinions about oil filters, fyi. Sounds like you have a good handle on things

Wow!!! and a friend recommended me that filter!! him and his dad have been working on mopars for quite a while and they've never had a problem with them.. Im not sure about where to get the WIX filter, maybe napa since their gold one is manufactured by them but i guess i will swap them. Thanks a lot Russ!
As for the engine harness... how much do they run? Again, im a college student and yes, im poor and always broke  so i wanna get something good at a decent price. Any recommendations?
And as far as the mopar ignition, i thought about getting the mopar 6al which is the samething as the MSD one just with the mopar logo for the box but then again, not sure about the distributor. I want something that does well performance wise and not something i wanna change here and there. I already have an electronic ignition on the car so just need to decided what distributor and also a carb to get. any suggestions for the carb as well? i was told to go with a 670cfm Street Avenger but not sure if that will be enough...
