Trans temp oil Temp gauges needed?
« on: October 10, 2007 - 11:42:19 PM »
I have fuel pressure oil pressure and water temp afternarket gauges (auto-meter pro comp)
Do I really need the others? Yes it would be great, but neccasary? Too many non-factory gauges always turned me off.
I think I would rather have pyro gauges for left and right side of exhaust to see lean/rich conditions
Thoughts?

I would pass on the trans temp guage unless you are have a recurring problem with trannys , I had one trans guy tell me that the guage can cause a failure by inserting a probe into the line it blocks the flow somewhat & can actually cause a problem , not sure if that is actually true but I would be very careful not to restrict flow if you install a guage anyway
