TCI trans, - will it work..???

They used my buddies 1000+hp 3800lb street car that runs 8's in their commercial.  So I called them after I e-mailed him to see if he ran anything remotely from them in his trans, and he said NO. Seems he had to sign a waiver to run the race that allows them to use any pics or vids how they see fit which saves them lots f money on marketing by using vehicles that don't run any of their parts in them and to get you thinking that they do.

So I call up their tech line wanting one of these 1000hp proof transmissions and tell him my car is 3800lbs like my buddy Jim's car and ask if they have a 727 that will live behind it, and the guy says confidently, yeah. So I ask the details of the internals, and he tells me the gears inside are stock after I ask if they are straight cut. I said stock? How do stock internal gears hold up to 1000hp, and almost 4000lbs? He says he doesn't know, they just do. Thats when I told him that was the biggest pile of BS I have heard in a week and he promptly hung up on me. 

THEY ARE BS re-maned trannies with fresh paint on them. You are a nut if you buy one.....I have a lot of friends that run Mopars, and none of them run TCI, and theres a reason.

I have a TCI 727 on the shelf now. It didnt make it 2 summers ina  mild 340 A body. Basically, they take a stock unit, rebuild it, and install a shift kit. And not a real good shift kit. In some cars, that may be enough, In others, misadjusting, overheating, or whatever means they may not last. They certainly arent anything special. I know more with issues than I do that were perfect. I'm sure there's more to failures than the sticker on the side.
