good question LB mine has a little bit but i think i can fix it by just welding the holes shut, the ones on my car are about the size of a pencil. we will see how many more there are and how much bigger any of them are after i get the vinyl off of it. but the ones ive found so far are small.

Mike, I don't remember just how much you have in the channel.  However, I believe you just get some sheetmetal, cut out the area you need repaired (trying not to mess up the original bends), and use that as a template for the new metal.....Unfortunately, that's how easy Horsepower TV made it look, so we all know there's more to it in reality when you don't have access to all those expensive metal machines... ::)

Thats a lot of repair work guys, unless you can get the sheetmetal from a parts car the only recource is to fabricate it yourself. Patience and lots of work. Just one thought that I'm sure your already aware off, when replacing larger pieces of sheetmental tack weld them move around doing more small welds, if you start to weld in a continuious bead you will cause some serious warp due to the heat build up.

For the window channels and such its actually pretty easy. Just takes time. Depending on how much rust is there is going to determine replacing or fixing whats there. If theres just some pin holes, welding really doesnt work so well because the metal is so thin and usually burns through, I heard of people using a two part expoxy putty.  But if the section needs to be replaced , find a parts car in a junk ayrd , etc. IF you can't find one go to a local body shop and look through their sheet metal piles. You will find many pieces that have bends/ channels that you can use for a patch for the area you need. Hope this helps. Nick

Thanks guys... I'm going to have to start paying my buddy Jack (he's the one that helped put her up on casters)... floor pans, patch panels, window channels...  ::) the list goes on!!
