I have seen them on e-bay as a used item. I'm not aware of repo's. I assume you are talking about a 71 challenger?

 ??? Yeah,
If you're talking about the 71's, they make repro's that look good. I haven't seen any of the 72-74 type redone.

Cool, thanks for the info. $165 for repo.  What do the real ones go for and were they fiberglass or potmetal???

I paid a $100.00 a couple of years ago from a parts dealer here in Ohio, if you want, pm me and I will give you his e-mail address. They were in good but not perfect shape, the biggest problem with these are the piece that fits between the scallop and front fender.

While we're on the subject of side scoops on the 71s, were they bolt ons or welded into the quarter panel?Just curious.

Moparmatt,
The 71 side scoops had 4 studs on them that went thru the body. It was a real pain in the hynie to attatch nuts on the other side of them. The window mechanism for the rear windows is tough to work around.

I think you are mistaking the 72-74 Rallye fender moulding with the 71 only 1/4 panel scoops, I think the scoops I have seen were fiberglass or plastic resin of some kind.

The original 71s were pot metal located on the rear Quarters. There is a plastic piece ( in the shape of the scoop) that goes between the scoop and the body for paint protection I assume.
