I am not thrilled with the side fitment I saw in your pics...

My Ultimate Rides dash looked similar for fit. I did a write up on it in the resto section.

It is surely a trade off depending on where your car lived its life. My car only had very minor rust, a quarter size hole in the passenger door due to a sand plugged drain hole in the door(all southwestern cars contain lots of sand in the doors) and the extreme lower passenger quarter panel requiring a patch panel. BUT.... all the enteriors of all the desert cars I have ever seen are/were roasted to the point where if you touch something it just crumbles in your hand or breaks/cracks upon touch. All in all I guess its better to have to buy new interior pieces compared to metal replacement.

I am not thrilled with the side fitment I saw in your pics but for a driver it should be a huge improvement over the nasty vinyl covered pad I had in there and a lot better than a basic cap.

It is a bit off, but with a bit of work after I put in the rallye dash I should be able to get it to look better.  I didn't put too much effort into it because I knew it would be coming back out in less than a year.  Also, the speaker grill is the original, and it also took a little bit of trimming to get it to fit right, but not bad at all.  I hope yours turns out nice.

Dont take me the wrong way, I do like the grain of the dash and it looks nice. What I was talking about is on either side of the drivers side drop down where the trim meets. I would be more concerned with the way the speaker grille fits because that is what most people will see. I am confident it will work for me and my daily driver mentality

I see what you mean, and agree.  At the time I was in a rush to get it done, so I didn't think to take some pre-switch pics to compare the before and after.  I still have the original as a core, and after a few years and a little more build up of $$$, I might get that one redone and put it back in.  In the meantime I'll just see how good I can get this one to fit.  The trim is a bit loose, so it might actually be more an issue of adjusting that as opposed to the pad itself (might be wishful thinking).

Yeah I need to get my dashpad redone soon. I have a 1973 barracuda with the bright blue/Dark blue interior does anyone know wha color the dash should be? It looks to me like a medium blue metalic on the area not exposed to the sun. I I got my door panels redone by just dashes because i have a blue interior and it was faded to aqua and they were chipping. They look nice but there just covered with vinel. I thought they would be more original for $1100 but i cant really complain cause they look great but they feel different!

Can Just Dashes fix cracks in door panels, or is there any way to ?  Both my panels have about a 1 inch crack at the top front, same place on each panel.  I'm pretty sure this is a common occurrence.  Just curious if I can fix these, or keep looking for a decent set of originals with no cracks to restore.

Well mine were chipping on the top and they had no problems. I dont think the cracking should be an issue because they vinel coat them anyways. I would probably fix the crack before you send it to them because they will probably charge you more for a 5 minute job but call them and ask.

If you're not in a rush, check e-bay or this place or Moparts for mint originals.

i found TWO mint '70 Challenger AC 3-speaker dashes and one mint '71-'74 AC single speaker (which I'll probably convert) in the past couple years.

I know it's slightly off topic, but I was actually asking about the door panels and how Just Dashes restores damaged ones.  I just figured since it was brought up earlier, I'd ask here.

In line with the dash pad discussions...............I decided to just put a cap on mine since I am only doing a driver anyway.          I know its the cheaper way to go but I am very pleased with the results.....

Its a 70 with a 73 replacement dash.  The vin plate didn't match the original so I knew I had to have something there so it is just a label for now.

I have a cut out plate from the original door that has the original  vin # and the 10-69 build date.    The fender tag was gone and the seat broadcast sheet was from a 73.
