« on: September 30, 2010 - 12:08:21 PM »
well it been a while since I sent any photos of the progress of the car and waiting a year for a deal made for a guy to do the body work I decided to try to tackle the project my self, so here is what was replaced 2 quarters,trunkpan,2 trunk extensions, tailpan, gutter pan,1 wheel well both front fenders and hood, basically anything that had bad rust got replaced, and all this done in about 9 months, paint just got finished last weekend. let me know what you think :feedback:

Did you buy reproduction sheet metal for the hood/fenders?

Looks good.  How about some close up of the areas you replaced.  What a mile stone getting it to this point.  Try to be patient but I know as more items go back on the car the more excited about driving it you'll get.

ya all good mark, for the most part, always a little fitting issues but nothing major, two of the worst is the repop rear valance panel does not fit tight, and and the fuel inlet on the right quarter is not stamped correctly, and would not fit the flip top gas cap, it is shaped like this \_____/  and the orignal is more like l_____l I just took my air hammer and flattened this out and welded it to fit the flip top fuel cap. not the prettiest but functional and will be covered up by the fuel door.
