Trans brake on the road
« on: January 28, 2004 - 08:28:09 AM »
Im thinking of upgrading to a nice tranny, maybe even a trans brake , my car sees mainly street duty with the occasional friday night at the strip passes.   I also want to keep my slapstick shifter and a fwd pattern valve body.
can i do all this or am I smoking the funny stuff?

thanks

it can be done ,there is a manual standard pattern valav body availabl ebut the reverse pattern is a better design , & the trans brake is fine on the street

I'd get an Auto/Manul body they are better for what your wanting. I heard the Manuals can be a quite tough for street cruising, like not to good on the trans. Pretty much a strip car's body nmore strip than street.
