Follow Up on the Cuda Convert.
« on: January 19, 2004 - 01:53:50 PM »
It is a 1971 Barracuda Convert. 318 auto, console, yellow with black top and interior. It is a basket case and pretty rusty. It has been taken apart completely and the parts are scattered in two spearate garages. Needs complete floors, lower hinge pillar repair, trunk floor patching, rockers, front lower door corner patches and lower fender patches and complete front aprons.  The car currently has no front aprons or core support but does have its original lower rails.  Has A/C PS, p-top, p-brakes, and p-windows with tinted glass.  It was from Florida so it has ocean rust. came with tons of parts and extras.  I did buy it.  Now, which one to restore??

I bet, even for a basket case, you paid a pretty good amount for a 71 vert.  It will be well worth it when finished though.  Congrats on the purchase!  Post some pics when you can.

Congratulations on your 71 vert purchase. Just remember, if you decide to sell the barracuda or the challenger... I'm looking for a project car!

Congrats or Heaven Help You!  When completed, I prefer the Barracuda, but either will be nice.  Was this at "Mopars by Crane".  They had a rough yellow 71 with AC on Ebay in the summer.  A guy from CA picked it up, but hey were gonna do the resto for him.

No, the car was sitting in the backyard with the parts in the garage here in Ohio.  He had the car for years.  It just had a car cover over it with the front sheetmetal off so most people could not tell what it was.

:D LMAO, yeh - moist dreams, however most of mine were just tears, lol. Hey olddustyrelics, where in Ohio you located Mopar bud, there are at least three other Buckeyes here on board, maybe we can all get together sometime. I'm about 30 mile south of Canton, BigMike is in Cincy., PistolGripper is in Dayton, and CudaKid is north west of Akron. Which means you are a prime canadate for this years Carlisle "tour"!
