1972 challenger
« on: November 09, 2007 - 11:44:55 AM »
1972 dodge challenger for sale. It's a 318 ci with 1 5/8" headers, 904 trans, 2 barrel holley. This car has been well taken care of. This is not a race car, but a cruiser. It will get up and go. Motor runs strong, if you stomp on it from a dead stop, it will lite up the tires. If you are looking for some serious power, a 440 can easily be replaced into the engine bay with a 727 and use the same trans linkages to use the slap stick. It has an 8 3/4" rear end with 3.23 gears in the back. The rims are "Wheel Vintiques" cruisers with 235/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 in the rear. The car runs well, and gets approximately 17 mpg. All gauges are in good working order (you can see them on in one of the pictures).

There is no rust on this car (as you can see in the photos in the link). I think the body is the most important part of a car. drive train can be done easily, but the body is what costs the most and the body is straight with no rust or dents. The paint is plumb crazy purple with a black hood stripe. Interior is in good shape, the passenger side interior panel is flawless, the drivers side shows some wear, but is still nice. The only thing I think this car really needs is maybe a new drivers side panel, a new windshield (some kid shot it with a BB gun) you can see it in the picture, and a new wiper motor. the windshild wipers do not work. I'm pretty sure it's the wiper motor. I can get power to the wiper motor, but it does not work. There are three small cracks in the dash, but it is not very noticable. You can see them in one of the pics. Car is ready for whatever radio you like to install.  That is pretty much all that the car needs. It will not over heat, even if you sit in traffic for hours. It does not have any leaks, no oil leaks or trans leaks. The car is totally reliable  Car runs nice. Body is clean.  The car is not a show car, but more of a clean driver. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. You are welcome to make an appointment to see the car if you like.  Hopefully the pics will speak for themselves. 562-254-6311 Car is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Asking 14,900 OBO.
