What is this bolt / plug, rigth beside the antifreezeplug, got one on each side..???

Those are the engine block drains for the water jackets.

You can drain your engine of water thru this type of plug....

When they've been in there for a while, and you unscrew them, water may not initially drain out because corrosion products have built up in the bottom of the engine coolant passages.  If you dig in there a little with a small screw driver, the rust will break up and the water come pooring out.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

That is why when you rebuild an engine you need to take all of the plugs out of the engine.  There might of even been all of this in the engine when it came from the factory.  Sand and rust will be in there.

But I got all the antifreezeplugs out of it, and try to get a little space in there for water...???

It.s my 1959 383cui, and it's all filled up with "stuff"....  :pullinghair: :bricks1:

Was a 383 made that early?? I believe that 361's were made around that time....

Was a 383 made that early?? I believe that 361's were made around that time....

In 59, you could get the 383cui. as a B-Block, (Dodge-DeSoto) - and as a RB-block (Chrysler-Imperial)..   :ylsuper:
