New LCA's, Are they worth it?
« on: October 28, 2007 - 06:58:12 PM »
Just spotted these and wanted to know if anyone has ever seen these before or are using them. I think they're a fairly new item out.

I have there upper control arms and they are a quality built. They use stainless steel hardware and the welds look real good not cold or undercut. :)

Lighter and stronger, sounds good. Glad to see they detailed the difference in weight. 8 pounds is significant.

They also make a tubular K frame as well. Looks like a jungle gym with tubes running everywhere, but again, lighter and stronger. Of course, one of their complete tubular front set ups will set you back almost as much as an Alterkation, so its a toss up of which may be better.

Me too.

I find myself amused at times when I see guys asking about what kind of suspension components are out there to "modernize" old mopars while all the major OEMs have, 30+ year later,  moved to using torsion bars in most their light duty trucks now days.

versus these that re-ininforce but of course lower in cost.

I've got several of those plates lying around from my vendor days. The fit up once they are installed can be quite nice. They also make them for the later model B and FJM cars as well.

 :iagree:
the Tbar is perfectly positioned low along the frame & towards the center of the car for best weight positioning , they are not excessively heavy & are completely adjustable , not sure how to improve on that

I might consider a set of those tubular LCA's when I find a set with the sway bar link mounting points on them.

all of the front end conversions seem to be missing some aspect & no I would not eliminate the sway bar !!

Spoke with them yesterday. They should have the swaybar lower arms made in two weeks.
