No Chat anymore ?

I've seen that there isn't a chat anymore !
Would it come back ?

I'am very interested to chat sometimes with someone from the guys here  !
On my side here in Germany the chat is hightly frequented - it was nice to meet a lot of people there ...

If there is a technical problem to implement a chat here, I would willingly help ...

I noticed that too.  That blue "bar" where all of those things are seems quite a bit shorter than I remember.  Maybe something else is missing, too?

i could put it back if there was a demand.  the chat is a special modification, and when i upgraded the software we lost all our custom mods.  it shouldnt be difficult to put it back up, but it didnt seem to me that it was getting used too often.  if the demand is there, ill redo it.

my proposal - make a poll, this will show if there ia a demand !

I use gtchat with a bridge to the wbb board, for the smf board there where also a bridge.
The benefit was that you can integrate the user data from the board to the chat, there isn't any need to register again and the users have the same nick as here in the board.
Only a tip from webmaster to webmaster - I hope that is not a overkill ...

EDIT : This chat is Perl based, is fully configurable and works on your own server ...

Hahahaha Topcat, I bet he is still in there, lost in time and space, LOL!

I always enjoyed the chatroom, so it would be great to have it again.  Only if it isn't a pain in the butt to put back on the site though.
