I just read on NHRA.com that pro stock driver Richie Stevens has lost his major sponsor. It seems that Mopar is cutting back 30% on all it's racing programs
. This is not good news for Mopar. This year has been their best showing in Pro Stock since the 1992-94. It is also not a good sign for the future of mopar performance since this is their test bed for new parts. I hate to say this and I hope I am totally wrong but I think the handwritting is on the wall for mopar. These new owners may not be performance minded and just turn out a bunch of family cars. On the bright side I did just read that the new Charger was doing very well with the new police cars. They are not as popular as the Crown Vics or the Impala's yet but they are gainning ground.
Keep you fingers crossed.
