71 Cuda Grille
« on: December 06, 2007 - 11:18:56 AM »
Has anyone had any experiences with the reproduction 71 grilles. I have a 74 and I am thinking about making a 71 340 six pack clone out of it. Any opinions on the grille?

There was a thread about this over a year ago.  Try doing a search.

I have one as a spare.. installed it though. fit like a glove.. very happy for the price. Just take a scothc pad to it before you shoot the argen on it. However, I did not put the grille trim on it as I did not want to pull it off the original. Trim pieces will be expensive & hard to find. Remember, they do not (yet) make the trim pieces.

very happy customer, though.

:iagree: PG Classics have all the stainless for 71 and 70.
 :woohoo:
Personally i would give the grille a wash with hot soapy water before you even thought about going over it with a Scotch Brite as it has a greasy residue on the plastic that may interact with the paint if not prepped corretly.  And i would trial fit it to the fenders and header panel to check for straightness as you may have to use a heat gun to realign some parts of the lower grille panel that meet up to the fenders.

PG. only had the s.s. trim for the 70, the 71 trim is still in the works.  I do carry the 71 repo grile, we have sold many of these this year and have had no complaints with fit or finish. www.rosevillemoparts.com
