thr weirdest Barracuda I had was a 318 car..

BH23G0B100052   -  being an early car it had some weird options,,,,,, rubber bumpers,,cuda trim on the tail light panel,
alot of other weird stuff that shouldn't have come on a regular Barracuda,,and it wasn't an ordered car ..

Weirdest Cuda I have had ..
440-6 bbl---4sd -410 dana car,,,,,Black,rallye hood,,14 "
steel wheels,,,buckets  , no console ,it did have a rallye dash.

WOW! That sounds about as odd as they get!

Do you realize that the VIN # BH23G0B100052 was sequential to ALL Plymouths built, not just Barracuda's? That means that your Barracuda was the 52'nd PLYMOUTH built that year, it could have easily been a pilot car, or at least built on the first day of production for the 70 model year........Pretty cool!  :) The odd options were probably due to early production line workers either "practicing" or simply early production screw ups with the new models and options, no big deal as they were "sold" order cars destine for dealerships. So, what happened to the car? I bet Galen Govier would be interested in hearing about that one. .....That blacl 440 70 Cuda sounds like a nice one as well.

Chryco had a 72 Challenger parts car many yrs. ago that was weird as well. I don't remember all the details, but I bought the 318 from him for my Duster at the time.

This Chal was Gold in color, pancake hood and had the 318, but it had a special cam and full floating piston rods as opposed to fixed or something like that. A 904 tranny that was beefed up and I think it had beefier leaf spring and an 8 1/4 or 3/4 rear with 2.92 gears? Sort of a cross between trailer towing package and Police package??? Chryco will remember those details better than I! Do you still have the VIN on that one Chryco?
I just know it was unusual!  :o

Hey 68Bullit, if those cars are for real you better play "buzzard" one day he'll pass on and those will be up for grabs, probably cheap as most families don't know much about cars other members own....Yes it sounds morbid but with values being what they are today you need to do what ya gotta do to be able to afford one  :) Where do you live anyway?  :)
