Anyone have an in the  car valve spring compressor they would recomend? I need one but most of the ones I've seen look like Ronco crap. I need to change out the break in valve seals later this summer and I want a tool that works. thanks

That is a slick looking tool but I should have said I have a 440, for a hemi that looks like a no brainer way to go.

Thanks guys, do you know what size and thread the air fitting for the plug hole is?

Does everyone put break in seals on with new guides and valves? I'm getting a little smoke but my rebuilder says to run it a few hundred miles more before changing them , I have positive seals by the way. my builder says he'll do it for me but to be honest I'd rather do it myself so I don't have him leaning over my fender and clanking wrenches in by engine bay. great mechanic but not as fussy about looks on a car as I am.

Mancini Racing # MRE67461 and Comp Cams #5324, those are the one DRC makes for all the companies that sell them.
You should be able to buy direct from DRC.....
Hope that helps...

i have a night mare olsd school story, i used a valve compressor to change my valve springs , and i used the old school method of using a window sash rope,it is small enough to fit through the spark plug hole, it worked well as the valve didnt slide down in to the hole, however when i went to pull the rope out  it got stuck and would not come out, so i had to remove the head , and low and behold that rope tied it self in to a fishermans knot perfectly so i couldnt get it out with out removing the head  so now i have the air valve to do the job much easier :violin:
