Challenger bumpers
« on: February 05, 2004 - 11:18:12 AM »
First, great forum.
I am building a 1974 Challenger and was wondering what the differences between 1974 and 1970 bumpers are, other than the bumperettes.  Thanks in advance

The brackets that the bumpers bolt to are shorter for 70-72. They are longer for 73-74 to withstand 5 mph crashes. If you keep your 74 bumpers, you'll need the inserts that attach between the bumper and header panel up front/bumper and tail panel out back. Not the easiest pieces to find in good shape, though they do pop up on ebay from time to time. Any pics? And welcome aboard  :)
