On a fresh rebuilt 904 or 727. What is the best way to do the first start up with the trans? I was told at idle, in reverse for a few minutes to make sure the air is worked out of the pump. any thoughts??

My question is did you soak the clutches and bands before installing them?

4 qts. first,(904 8 qts. total/727 9 to 10 qts. total) start it up in neutral, top it off and Go!
