« on: January 04, 2008 - 09:25:16 PM »
On a fresh rebuilt 904 or 727.  What is the best way to do the first start up with the trans?  I was told at idle, in reverse for a few minutes to make sure the air is worked out of the pump.  any thoughts??

My question is did you soak the clutches and bands before installing them?
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

4 qts. first,(904 8 qts. total/727 9 to 10 qts. total) start it up in neutral, top it off and Go!  :burnout:
