Not to be a downer, but good luck.

You need a type of speednut that cuts into the 4 shafts of the louvers. They(the shafts) have no threads. Isn't it great to have NOS parts??  :lol:  :lol2:


P.S.- The speednut you are showing will probably not be deep enough. Ask me how I know.  :pullinghair:

I don't know if these are the same thing. They're for A/B body hood scoops. Might work for you though.

There are a lot of different sizes and assortments on eBay too.  I can't find them now but you can even get some that are rubber backed (and may stay put better) but a rubber washer might help with that too or caulk it afterwards.

What size stud?  I have a bunch of speed nuts from my parts truck, a '67, from the emblems and stuff, might be the same size?   :dunno:
