Six Way Seat Track Question
« on: January 05, 2008 - 01:31:09 PM »
I'm a 6'4" guy and while my 70 Cuda sits nice and comfey for me I'm in the process of putting a Keisler 5 speed kit in the car, it's been an auto up until now.  After mounting the clutch pedal kit recently, I was sitting in it today thinking if this seat was back another inch or two this clutch would be much easier to work with my long legs.
So my question is, would a Six Way Seat Track setup help that any?

I realize I would have $1000+ in the parts and conversion but I'll do it if it will help.  Just don't want to start down that road to find out it really doesn't buy me any leg room.

Ole' wise ones share your wisdom please.
Thanks

I think I would just move both seats back the same amount that gives you a comfortable driving position.  I had a six-way in my cuda that I put in - set it once and never moved it again.

I guess my real question is....

Will a 6 way seat slide back any further than a regular one to give me more leg room?

Thanks

I too am 6' 4" and have a six way seat in my Challenger conv. You can get a comfortable driving position leaning it back a bit. Thats the nice part for us tall people, but I still sit too tall in the seat. In the conv I find myself leaning down to look out the windshield to drive. I definately would hate bumping my head in a hardtop. I have actually debated removing the six way and installing a standard seat track. Just my  :2cents:
