Autism Speaks/Five for Fighting Video
« on: January 11, 2008 - 11:58:01 AM »
This is an email I got forwarded and thought it might be nice to post it here.  I learned a bit, kinda sad, but yet hopeful at the same time.  Every bit helps.

The band, Five for Fighting, is generously donating $0.40 to
Autism Speaks for *each time* the video is viewed. The funding
goes toward research studies to help find a cure. When you have a
moment, please visit the link below to watch the video and pass
it along to your friends and family. It is a great & sad video.

They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them
 to  surpass this goal.

It's nice to help get the word out on this subject. Its something you hear about rarely and only see on the tonight show or oprah with what they call an idiot savant: a person with Autism who can do amazing things like play the piano, recite little known facts and data, etc. A friend of ours has a little boy of 5 who has been diagnosed with it and it is quite sad but he is a very happy little boy. Also a thank you to Five For Fighting for the donations. If anyone hasn't hear them before(I think it is actually only one guy)  it's worth listening to.If you liked the song on the video. One of my favorite cd's
