Good read indeed, I read through all the comments too. It seems there is a little spat between the designers saying who really designed it at Lippencot & Marguilies.

Every make should have & use an easily distinguishable emblem such as this...to many new models you cannot tell what you are looking at including some Chrysler products.
Wonder whatever became of the Dodge tri-star.

Thanks for the read, Hood!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Info on the "fratzog" or "Dodge Delta".  They say it was a 3 pointed star, but why 3?  Figure it was for Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth?  Who knows...  :dunno:

Thanks for the info.  I did not know that or remember that.  I would love to see them back on the cars.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

As I understand it the 5 points represented  Chrysler Dodge Plymouth Fargo & DeSoto  , not Imperial

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t
