    4-speed OD trani

    Hey all,

    I've been looking for a 4 spd trani for my car for some time now and I think I may have found one.  Could someone tell me if my eyes are seeing this ad correctly?

    This sounds like a overdrive which would be the same transmission I put in my Cuda a couple years back. The tail shaft may have been changed. Mine had the E body tail shaft on it. It will have the 23 spline input shaft with the bigger front bearing and retainer which means you have to get the right bell housing or have yours machined to fit the bigger bearing retainer. Not a big deal as this is what I had to do to make mine fit. 3rd gear is 1-1 ratio and 4th on mine is .73 which cut my rpms down to around 1800 at 55 mph. Makes it a real road cruiser now and it loves 80 + mph.

    that si the Alum OD truck Tranny I often use , it has botht the front & rear shift mount pads althougu usually the rear pad needs to be drilled & tapped
     you can easily trim the front brg reatiner down to 4.80 & get a belhousing to match , the OD should be .71 , the A body short shaft version was .73 od
    looks like a deecnt deal
