Yeap, still here. Took a break from the Charger and reengineering the rear three link setup. Back on it  now, and I promise updates as things progress.
I kinda jumped ship and bought something ready to drive...hehe

Did you need to reconfigure the 3-link because of the 72 Charger B Body or something that isn't quite what you needed with the XV Assembly?

Yes, 08 with LS3, unbelievable how well the car runs, rides, drives.

I used a brand new Moser Dana Rearend and while they are close, the mounting points on the chunk are not the same nor is their rear cover. Just enough that nothing fit and we are redoing everything. XV has never actually done a 72 charger so there was some fitment issues there also. Fricken hotrods...... :swear: :swear:

Bill, fellow pt.com guy here, you gonna have it done for RTTH this year? I plan on having my ride there by at least the end of this century! I did the Air Ride 4 bar. Substituted the Shockwaves for QA1's. It is a little more lo-tech probably that what you are going with but should worl well with the level I'm building my car.
The 'vette looks awesome. Can't go wrong with LS's but hopefully the 3rd Gen Hemi's will be up there close someday with more aftermarket support. Stupid Chrysler engine management......

Honestly, for the money I wish I had simply done the AlterKation stuff. No more than I will autocross the car, I really went overboard. I am not up on the lingo on Mopar engines, I guess the new 392 Hemi is a second gen then? It should be plenty power, looking forward to driving it.
Oh yeah, RTTH4 is on, Sept. 14-16 I think are the dates. The car will be mechanically done by then, maybe completely finished by then. Just a quick paint job is all that will be done, interior is ready to go, and body is perfect. I did find a bulge hood on ebay a couple months ago and have it ready to go on.

The old Firepower DeSoto Hemi's were 1st Gen identifiable by the distributor in the rear. The 2nd Gen's were the 426 "Street Hemi" that were available in our favorite muscle cars here in Mopar land, in the later '60's and early 70's identifiable by a distribtor in the front of the engine. Lastly you have the modern 3rd Gen Hemi's, i.e. 5.7/6.1/392 crates..., they have no distributor.
The Alter-k-tion is a great suspension and is widely confused by some as a drag race suspension but they really adressed alot of geometry issues that some aftermarket "drag race" suspension systems seem to ignore.
The XV systems obviously are superior but there are, as you stated, a place for them. It would have set me back alot on my 'cuda, budget wise, and for the benefits it just wasn't worth it. Now if I can just get those winning numbers....

It is called Jet Stream Blue. New for 08, replaces LeMans Blue. It changes shades of color depending on the light. Most either love it or hate it...Obviously, I fell on the liking it side...hehe
