I live in Erie, Colorado. I'm building a 71 Challenger. It's too bad they closed down that track.......sort of seems like the "normal" thing they are doing here. I used to go to the vintage races (Awesome....) in Steamboat until they built the big condos and shut those down too 

Anyway, glad to see another Colorado E-body guy on board.

just got the news today , they have closed on the purchase of the land for the "HIGH PLAINS RACEWAY" in beyers colorado, should be completed by april, or may , but the big thing is that they have approval for a true race facility , that for the first time has public approval , since it is way out in the sticks of colorado  hope fully people wont complain about the roar of fine vintage v/8, i need an over drive now since it will be a much bigger track

Ahh ha! This must be the BIG THING that I've been hearing rumblings about for the past year and half. Supposed to be a huge, multi-use facility for NHRA, Nascar, and SCCA that is far enough away from Bandimere to not infringe on their national event status, plus allow weekly or potentially national event level oval track racing.

Also, have you heard about the new track going in at Genoa, just east of Limon? A dual course road track that cam be combined into one large road circuit. http://www.genoamotorsports.com/

well its about time , there is certainly enough interest here to have some kind of multi use area for all of us car nuts , its just we gotta drive a little further but hey it will be sweet to have at least 2 tracks , and i hear maybe more, thanks for the link
