Did they make red vinyl tops?

My Cuda is red and is supposed to have a black vinyl top, but I like a car to be all one color, so I was just planning on leaving the vinyl top off. As an option, I was just wondering if they ever put red vinyl tops on ebodies, and if anyone has pictures of one.

Sorry buddy they did not do Red vinyl at all.
You could get the same paint color of your car and add in some vinyl ad flex and paint the roof matching color, would look trick.

Can red vinyl be bought? Does anyone have patterns to make Cuda tops? Do any of the aftermarket vendors make custom color or special order vinyl tops?

If I decide to do this, I should probably buy the top first, then have the car paint color matched.

You will be able to get vinyl in Red but it may not be the same color as you want, your best bet would be to go see a auto trimmer and ask to look at his color swatches for a vinyl roof and you want to do it in Red.   He will most likely let you take the color swatches home to try against your paint for color.  Then if you are not happy with the colors talk to him and pick out a light color like White, as it will be easier to color dye a lighter color to get the Red you want.

this would be really cool if you did it. i hope you find a top!! it would be rad to start seeing color matched vinyl tops out there! you see it more in the late 60's Bbodies.

I was or i still might yet, build a Apple green 69 Dart GTS and was going to put a Gator Grain vinyl roof color matched to the car.  Big Block GTS hood with a six pack scoop blah blah blah. But it would be cool..........................

Cool Indeed Ken! we may be walking side by side in this 69 Dart build up. im sure i will have some extra parts from mine. Black with Orange Swinger strie, GTS hood, 383/ 727 (for now) may go 4spd, A100 seats like the hemi darts, not sure of my interior color (im thinking: black dash with combo of either white seats or orange seats, or all black)

Hey Wally,

I was going apple/kermit green with a Chrome GT Sport bum stripe and dark green interior and i even have Dark Green cloth that has a Gator Grain pattern that i was going to use in the inserts.   Was going to do the hood green on the outer edges with a Black or carbon center section with the six pack scoop.  Would look real tuff.

They don't show one for a Cuda in red but if they have the pattern, they can cut it out of anything........
