My wife was driving our 04 Hemi Durango Friday and noticed the dash lights were on for no apparent reason, later they started to flicker so she decided to stop by the dealer and have them check it. As soon as she told the guy what it was doing he went straight out and disconnected the battery, it was HOT. Evidently some solenoid in the dash can overheat. He told her that it could have caught fire during the trip home OR it might not catch on fire for hours, which would mean it would have been parked in the garage with my 70 6-pack Cuda, 71 383 Cuda convertible and 93 Mustang Cobra. For some reason I didn't renew the policy on the 71 last year
. The garage is a 24' x 48' metal building and I had not given much thought to it burning, never really thought about the daily driver catching on fire. Anyway, I think I will call tomorrow and get the convertible insured.
