Cuda header panel access
« on: January 22, 2008 - 10:55:18 AM »
Hi,
I have to remove the left front fender on my 73 Cuda to do some rust repairs on the cowl (sound familiar?) and in order to remove the fender, I need to remove the bolts that hold the fender to the header panel. It looks like there are some access slots in the bottom of the header panel, but getting a socket on the bolts looks difficult. Any tips or ideas from members that have already done this?
Thanks,
Martin

once you have the grille off it's pretty simple and easy, two bolts with 7/16" head,

Thanks, Stefan!
Now I know that the grille has to come out in order to get at those bolts. I was looking at access with the grille in place and getting at those bolts didn't look easy.

I know on 71s there is a tab on the lower part of the grille that is attached to a bracket on a fender ,so the grille has to come out
