    TIRE PROBLEM - HELP !

    My car has a slow leak in one tire.  These tires have 5k miles on them.

    Can the leak be found and repaired?  Also, these cars come with the all mighty bumper jack.  I'd much rather use a floor jack and save the chrome bumper -  where is the best place to locate the floor jack as to not damage the underside of the car?  Is there a good spot on the frame I should be looking for.

    The car is solid - no rust- and the tire is on the drivers side front - so the front of the car must be jacked up.

    i once repaired a tire that had a nail through it.  i also believe if you go to a good tire shop (i use Americas Tires, they are great) they can fix minor leaks and holes no problem.

    as for jacking i wouldnt take anything i say about the subject at much value since i dont own an ebod, but on my charger, theres an area right behind each front wheel where two frame rails cross.  looks real sturdy and thats where i always jack up.

    The "frames" are identical between the E & B bodies. ;)
    The best places to lift the car with a floor jack are under the "k" frame or the lower control arms in the front & under the diff housing in the rear ;)

    And if ypu're really worried about scratching somethind, use a block of wood with a thick rag on your floorjack.

    Yes the wood on the jack would also be my suggestion but if you maybe want to slow the slow leak try rubbing axel greese on the spot of the leak for instance if its a seal problem rub it between the wheel and the rim.
