torsion bar question
« on: January 27, 2008 - 05:20:16 PM »
when installing the torsion bars does it matter how they go in, on the rear of the bar there is a line that is indented all the way across the bar.  Does it matter if that line is vertical or as close to it, or as long as the bar lines up and slides in it okay?

And when setting the front ride hieght and adjusting the t bars does screwing in or out make the front go down?

orientation of the bar makes no difference as long as you have them on the correct sides left vs right....screwing out the bolt lowers the front... be sure to raise the cars weight off the ground as not doing this could strip the bolt or adjuster threads....

I redid the all the steering componets one side at a time so the right and left sided t bars stayed on the correct side.  however once set the t bars back to where I thought they were the front of the car is pointing toward the sky.  Looks terrible.  Thanks for the info I will correct tomarrow.
