I believ they will last 30-40k for miles , where the tapered brg will last ofr seemingly unlimited milage as long as they are kept greased & adjusted

there you go, if i do have an issue then I'll have about 25 to 30k miles to go or a very long time to worry about that about another 15 to 20 years. with out greasing or adjusting the rear shafts.

Just helps to know that over the course of the next few years that these can be forgotten & fail leaving you stranded , some of my customers drive theirs cars a lot & average 10k or more / year

It is good to know of this for caution, I will be talking to Mopar thursday when they come out to my store to talk up about the restoration program and direction, I'll see what they say, But this is interesting to me and i would like to investigate more. I plan on making my challenger more of a daily driver this is good to know

to my knowledge the brg & reatiner ring are easy to get , the adjuster needs to be re-used , it has been obsolete for years , you need to cut the ring & brg off to prevent damage to the adjuster plate

The factory style bearings and inner and outer seals are available at any GOOD auto parts store. Mine were 38 years old when I decided to change them in that post above. They really didn't even need changing yet.  I drove 10k miles last year and about 7k in 2006 and that's one less thing to worry about when I'm 1000 miles from home. I have heard too many stories of those green bearings drying out and falling apart.

i think i have the same issue, but mine is squeeling at low speeds too.
