3 speed to 4 speed conversion

Changing out my factory 3 speed manual for a A-833 4 speed. I know the output from the 3 speed is different than the 4 speed. I have heard that I can either get a complete drive shaft out of a 4 speed car or a 727 auto car or just the front section of the driveshaft. Is this correct?
thanks

thew slip yolk from a 727 or a 833 can be used , then you need to match up U joint sizes , the small 7260 is 2 1/8" inside the ears , the larger 7290 is 2 5/8", not sure if the length needs to change but I doubt it
