new brake calipers´74 spindels
« on: January 23, 2008 - 03:07:51 PM »
Hi...

I will hear you guys.

Are the possible to buy a new set of brake calipers for my `70 challenger with `74 disk spindels. My old ones are not in super condition. Maybe a place where i Can buy them...

And can you guys tell me are there any rear disk brake kit out there there look like a standart system. I`am not in to that Wilwood mombo.  I will prefer a kit there look like the front system.

Thanks guys

Dennis

Wouldn't it just be a caliper for a 74 Challenger?  Should be able to find an online parts store that has them.

Not new but re-built...or for a very small price re-build them yourself. If you want to try let me know as I have done this myself, very simple but you will need compressed air.

:iagree:  Just safer to get the rebuilt one in the long run.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I buy them at Kragens. They have Raybestos calipers as well as other brands, work great no complaints, and as I recall resonably priced as well.

That just looks like a readily available Pin type?

I got one waiting for a couple parts too.

I got them from Autozone Rebuilt in Canada

:grinyes:  I would just keep the rear drum's. The front brake's provide 60-70% of your stopping power anyway. Just a thought, Pat  :2thumbs:
