gas tank swap

wondering how much work it is to change the gas tank in a chally. i have a small leak at the top.

it is actually easy , disconnect the hose & wire to the sender & undo the J bolts at the rear of the tank [ this is the hardest part] drop the tank & install the new tank & sender , make sure yo uuse the pad on the top of the tank
 I t is best to do this with the tank as near to empty as possible

I would recommend removing the filler tube before you do anything else.

I first removed the hoses 5 and wire 1, unbolted the filler neck, 4 screws.   then I removed the 2 nuts, while the tank was balanced on a box. after the tank was lose I removed the neck.    this was easy I removed it my self with about 3.5 gallons of coke colored gas. and amazingly didn't spill a thing. it took probably 30 minutes
